S.V.I.S. holds G.K. contest

Swami Vivekanand International School, Pawnar held G.K. contest 2012 in school premises on dated 22nd August 2012.

The prime motto behind the contest was to give wide exposure to the hidden talent of our students to compete world. G.K. contest comprised of multiple round including Knowledge Hunt, Brain Gym, Riddles, Picture Identification, Chop – words etc. Students took it as a challenge and answered enthusiastically. It was a maiden attempt of school to explore & enhance the horizon of knowledge beyond the limit.

The contest had been divided in three groups Juniors, Middle & Seniors. It was a great stint of learning experience to the scholars. In juniors group the winners are Aditya Agrawal, Sumit Hulke, Tushant Rangari, Kumud Jajodia and Manthan Mahajan. In senior Group the winners are Ananya Dube, Priyanshi Naredi, Shruti Kohale and Sumedh Lahane and runner up are Pratham Golcha, Pratik Tadas, Vaishnavi Ghodkhande, and Ulka Khobragade.

Mr. Sandip Latare conducted the competition. Mrs. Archana Golcha appreciated the participants for their splendid performance. The school is running under the able inspiration of Secretary Dr. G.L. Pisulkar and Advisor Dr. S.G. Pisulkar. Mrs.Ghiranikar, Mrs.Jog, Miss.Ashlesha, Mr.Nikhil, Mrs.Pradnya, Mrs.Shubhangi strived hard to make the contest a successful one.



Swami Vivekanand International School, Pawnar has always believed in excellence at all levels, be it scholastic or co-scholastic. To evaluate the working of the school, all activities whether academic or co-curricular, a panel of auditors comprising of highly qualified professionals, headed by academic advisor to school Dr Surendra Dass Psychologist, Department of Psychology RTMNU, Nagpur, Ms Priyamvada Pande life worker Vivekanand Kendra and Mrs Geeta Gupta Former Principal, Kasturba Vidya Mandir. The panel of experts had been invited to appraise the performance of the teachers, the teaching methodology, the overall running of the school and suggest improvement in certain areas. This was followed by a meeting of the educators, management, and principal with the academic advisor to discuss on the findings of the committee and to suggest remedial measures for enhancement of the teaching skills and improved teaching methodology. The internal audit helped the school to develop and improve in future endeavors.


Independence Day Celebrated at Swami Vivekanand International School, Pawnar.

Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at SVIS Pawnar.

The Tricolor was hoisted by the Chief Guest Sri. Vishwanath Daigawane, former MLC, teacher constituency. Two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Sri. Vilasrao Deshmukh who expired on 14th August 2012. The guests were given a floral welcome. Mr. Daigawane was felicitated with shawl and shriphal by Chairman Sri. Laxmanrao Pisulkar. The guests were welcomed by Principal Mrs. Archana Golcha. The celebration was graced by Chairman Shri. Laxmanrao Pisulkar, Secretary Dr. Gajanan Pisulkar, Advisor to School Dr. Shweta Pisulkar and Principal Acharya Vinoba Bhave Institute of Technology Sri. Anil Gawhane. This was followed by a patriotic song competition is which Pioneers House was the winner and Winners house, the runner up.

A dance on the song “ Ma Tujhe Salam” was performed by students of grade 7 and this further livened up the ceremony. Certificates and Medals were given away to those students who were runners up at Subroto Mukherjee Cup Football Tournament. Students selected for representing Wardha District in Skating Competition to be held at Nagpur, were also honoured by the hands of the guests.

In his speech the Chief Guest Mr. Daigawane said that students should follow the ideals of Swami Vivekanand by avoiding idleness & laziness. Chairman Sri. Laxmanrao Pisulkar said that a man is known by his deeds so students should strive to be successful and make India proud. The Programme was compered by Shruti Meshram & Rupali Tiwari of Gr. IX & Vote of Thanks was proposed by Priyanshi Naredi of Grade VI. The Teaching & Non teaching staff under the guidance of Principal Mrs. Archana Golcha made the celebration a success.


Ananya Dubey of SVIS Dazzles in Inter School Chess Competition

Ananya Dubey of Swami Vivekanand International took part in Inter School Chess competition organized by DSO of Wardha and came out with flying colours by securing first in under 14 age group he will be now represent Wardha Dist in Inter Dist competition in Nagpur

He have attributed the credit of their success to parents and Principal Mrs. Archana Golcha, President Nav Disha Education Society, Shri. Laxmanrao Pisulkar, Secretary Mr. G. L. Pisulkar and Advisor Mrs. Sweta G. Pisulkar.


SVIS Dazzles in Inter School Boxing and Kick Boxing

Vedant Kkorde and Salman Memon of Swami Vivekanand International took part in Inter School Boxing and Kick Boxing competition respectively this has Organized by DSO of Wardha and they came out with flying colures by securing first in under17 and 19 age group. They will be now represent Wardha Dist in Inter dist competition .

Both the players have attributed the credit of their success to Parents, Principal Mrs. Archana Golcha, President Nav Disha Education Society, Shri. Laxmanrao Pisulkar, Secretary Mr. G. L. Pisulkar and Advisor Mrs. Sweta G. Pisulkar.



A field trip was conducted on 28th august 2012 for the students of SVIS

It was on 28th August 2012 the students of SVIS from grade-1 to grade-5 visited Dattapur, Wardha for knowing more about ‘natural manure’ prepared with the help of earthworms and the waste material.

It was also shown to them how to prepare a hand-made paper from unused cotton clothes and left over banana plant.Different articles were made from the hand-made papers like flower-vase, greeting cards, paper bags, wall hanging, dustbins, etc.

At last students were also shown how honey is collected through artificial honeycomb where honeybees collect the sucked nectar to their comb to form honey.

On the same day the students from Grade 6th to 9th visited Panchayat Samiti, Seloo. In the hall in Mr Nagpurkar informed about Panchayat Raj, Sectors coming under Panchayat Samiti, and different scheme coming up from government. He also discussed the construction and uses of biogas.

Mr Bundile also briefed about the importance of health and hygiene.


SVIS students outshine at zonal level of Brain Cafe

Students bring laurels to Swami Vivekanand International School, Pawnar at Zonal level Brain Café Budding Scientist contest.

Brain Café Budding Scientist zonal level competition was held at Swami Vivekanand International School, Pawnar on 8th September 2012. 40 students from 8 schools across Vidarbha had participated in the competition. The competition was held by Zee Brain Café to inculcate in students a scientific temper, curious minds and unleash creativity. The judges for the competition were Mr Ravi Kumar, Deputy Director Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialisation Wardha, Mr Deep Verma Environmental Scientist and Head of Innovative Cell MGIRI, Wardha, Dr Mrs Mona P Sune, Associate Professor AcharyaVinoba Bhave Rural Hospital, Sawangi, Mrs Tarika Mohite, Associate Professor, College of Architecture, Wardha.

There were four categories in which 5 students from SVIS who had qualified at the preliminary round had participated. Ms Kanak Titare of grade I stood first in the category A, Shrey Deotare stood first in the category B, Riddhi Chajed stood third in the category C and Pratham Golcha secured first position in the category D. These students will be participating in the state level competition to be held at Mumbai on 20th October 2012. The students gave the credit of their success to Brain Café educator Mrs Shweta Tiwari, the parents and the Principal Mrs Archana Golcha. The school is run under the blessings of Chairman Shri Laxmanrao Pisulkar, Dr.G.L.Pisulkar and Dr.S.Pisulkar. The management gave full encouragement and infrastructure facilities to school. The students were provided encouragement from the board of governors.


School Report

Kindergarten field trip to Gopuri

On 29thAugust 2012 the students of L-KG and U-KG of SVIS visited Gopuri for a field trip.

They visited the big garden where they enjoyed the nature and learnt more about nature. The students also visited the Buddha- Stupa at Gopuri by climbing the stairs in a disciplined manner. Students could identify the statues of lion and Gautam-Buddha by looking at the statue.

Students played running-race in the lush of green grass in the garden. They enjoyed there by dancing and had their lunch with their teachers.

The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. They now look forward to the next destination.
